The two-day 'Celebration of Rugby' at Old Deer Park, starts with a spectacular gala dinner on Friday 6th March, hosted by Shane Williams (British & Irish Lions and Welsh legend) - and is then followed by an atmospheric screening of the big game on the Saturday - details here - complete with wonderful beers, food and entertainment!

Shane is one of Welsh rugby's most famous sons, a British Lion, Barbarian and a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). Shane had a long and successful tenure as a wing for the Ospreys and the Welsh national team, Shane enjoyed a season playing Japan with Mitsubishi Dynaboars.

Shane is the record try scorer for Wales, and is fourth on the international list of leading rugby union test scorers. He is Wales' most capped winger and is considered to be one of the greatest wingers of all time.

In 2008, Shane was selected as the World Rugby Player of the Year and then in November 2016, he was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame.

Velindre is Wales’ premier cancer centre, providing care, support and treatment to cancer patients and their families.

London Welsh Rugby Club is proud to be part of Velindre's pack of lions, helping them support those living with cancer.
