Ours is a vibrant country with so much to offer – historically, culturally and of course through our diverse range of businesses. Wales Week in London is a co-ordinated promotion of the many things we have to shout about and showcases a series of activities that celebrate and promote existing Welsh communities in London, providing an exciting opportunity to raise our profile and create a real buzz.

  • Rt Hon Alun Cairns MP
    Secretary of State for Wales

Wales Week in London, as a celebration of Welsh culture and industry, provides the perfect opportunity to promote the best of Wales to an international audience and extend the cause for engagement facilitated by St. David’s Day. That is why I am delighted that the UK Government, as one of its founding partners, is providing its full backing to Wales Week in London 2019. With some fantastic events lined up, I am sure it will be a great success.

We love being part of Wales Week in London as it means we can highlight the fantastic achievements of our creative media professionals here in Wales to a new audience, shining a light on the international production excellence of our country. We may be small but we punch above our weight in terms of film, games and television creativity.

  • Caroline Thompson
    Director, BeTheSpark

I was delighted to be involved in last year's Wales Week in London by hosting a Disruptive Tech Panel. It was held in the NatWest Entrepreneur hub and we had a lively debate with an audience predominately made up of 50 London-based, growing businesses, who came to hear about the Welsh ecosystem from disruptive Welsh tech entrepreneurs. I'm really looking forward to being involved in 2019; the programme of business events chimes well with the BeTheSpark mantra of making the entrepreneurial landscape more visible, simple and connected.

  • Heather Myers
CEO, South & Mid Wales Chambers of Commerce

Wales Week in London creates huge opportunities to businesses in both London and Wales. These events not only promote the culture of Wales, but showcase its potential as a great place to invest and do business. I encourage all Welsh businesses to get involved and to use the buzz of Wales Week to engage, to expand your market by demonstrating what you have to offer, and ultimately to seek ways of attracting new business from London.

As a Kidwelly-based company, we are thrilled to support an ongoing business initiative that bridges the gap between Wales and London. Being involved in a prestigious national event such as WWIL allows us to showcase Burns to a wider audience and forge new relationships with industry movers and shakers both at home and away.
