We are delighted to tell you that we will be holding a virtual St David's Day Celebration this year as we didn't want to miss this opportunity to commemorate St David's Day together.
We usually meet at Guildhall to celebrate Welsh culture and history and we are looking forward to sitting down to dinner there again in 2022. However, this year, we can only celebrate from home. St David's Day in London has been a focus for the Welsh community in London since 1904. Covid or not, it can still be . . .
On Monday 1st March 2021, we will present an evening of entertainment, hosted by the well-known political broadcaster and commentator Guto Harri.
We are also thrilled to welcome WELSH OF THE WEST END - Wales' finest musical theatre voices direct from London's West End and Professor Mererid Hopwood, the first woman to win the Bardic Chair at the National Eisteddfod, who will once more address us and toast the Immortal Memory of Dewi Sant.
'Gwnewch y pethau bychan' or 'Do the little things' are considered to be Dewi Sant's most famous words, and it may be a small gesture in this immensely changed world of Covid, but we hope you will help us to continue the fine tradition of the St David's Day Dinner in London by buying a ticket, wearing a daffodil, and joining us for an evening of Welsh celebration.
Proceeds will go towards supporting the Welsh of the West End performers and there will be an opportunity to make a donation to further support the immensely talented rising Welsh stars throughout the performance.
There will also be an opportunity to support our charity partner Community Foundation Wales.
