On Monday 2nd March 2026, the bells of Westminster Abbey will be rung in honour of St David’s Day, marking Wales’ national day at one of the UK’s most iconic and historic sites.
Following Evensong, at approximately 5.45pm, a ceremonial ringing of the Abbey bells will take place. This special act of remembrance and celebration reflects the enduring cultural and spiritual ties between Wales and the heart of the nation’s ceremonial life.
Transferred from the Sunday observance, this moment offers a quiet but powerful way to mark St David’s Day in London—through tradition, symbolism and sound—resonating far beyond the Abbey’s walls.
This is a public, non-ticketed occasion and a fitting part of the Wales Week London programme, honouring Welsh heritage in a setting of national significance.
Location: Westminster Abbey, 20 Deans Yard, London SW1P 3PA
Time: Following Evensong, approximately 5.45pm
