Created by Welsh playwright and actor, Liam Holmes, the play follows Stephen Jones, the cheeky (self-proclaimed) rugby prodigy from the small Welsh village of Aberfan, who’s just made the kick of his life.

Meanwhile, Angharad Price, the witty (also self-proclaimed) beloved nurse of the Taff Valley, makes a life-defining decision.

As Stephen tries to charm Angharad, the unthinkable happens: 150,000 tonnes of coal rush down the hillside towards Pantglas Junior School.

After a sold-out run from London to Wales, Mr. Jones returns to the Union Theatre, bringing to life a poignant story that resonates through its characters - stories that might have otherwise remained untold.

Join us from 6.45pm for a unique, immersive experience - An Evening at Aberfan RFC will bring a taste of South Wales to life with live music and performances before the show and during the interval.

There will be plenty of opportunities for a singalong and a chance to connect with the spirit of the valleys - making for a truly memorable night.
