To mark Wales Week London we will hear from Bute Energy, a Welsh renewable energy company, that is making the Welsh weather work for Wales through the biggest business investment in the rural economy in a generation.

Bute Energy have built up a market-leading pipeline of Energy Park projects in Wales, which will use the latest onshore wind technology to help meet the Welsh Government’s target for the country’s electricity to be 100% renewable by 2035. They are committed to making sure as much investment stays as local as possible. Each contract awarded during development and construction will see partners sign up to a Social Value Standard, aiming to keep as much of the investment in Wales for the benefit of local communities.

The projects will create thousands of jobs, give millions of pounds a year to community funds and help rural communities get ready for a net zero future. All of this while helping to reduce energy bills in the long term – onshore wind is one of the cheapest forms of electricity on the grid.

This event is invitation only, however please email the event organiser (above) for further information.
