Would you like to be involved in an informal, virtual sports gathering on the eve of the 6 Nations final weekend?
If so, have a glass at the ready on Friday 19th March at 4pm UK time for #COUNTMEIN - a global outreach seminar organised by the Welsh Sports Association (WSA) to launch an exciting initiative designed to encourage professionals from all walks of life, who have a strong link to Wales, to become involved as professional volunteers.
At the heart of the project is an online Knowledge Bank, where professionals can make a ‘deposit’ of as little as one day of their time and talent.
These won’t just come from sports men and women, but Welsh entrepreneurs and influencers that can make valuable contributions on a wide range of subjects, including marketing, social media, accountancy, business development, governance, etc.
This will enable sports and organisations – with particular emphasis on promoting sport to young people – to make ‘withdrawals’ from the Knowledge Bank and enable sport in Wales to ‘build back better’ post-Covid-19 pandemic.
A one-hour, on-line Q&A session will take place on Friday 19 March – on the eve of what Wales hopes will be a Six Nations Grand Slam winning rugby weekend.
We will be joined by a very special rugby guest while already confirmed are:
- Jamie Baulch - Olympic sprinter turned successful charity fundraiser and presenter
- Ty Francis - Chief Advisory Officer and a member of the executive team at LRN Corporation, a corporate governance and ethics consultancy. Ty is also the founder of New York Welsh and has created a sponsorship programme for women and girls sport in Wales.
