The history of Cardiff Metropolitan University, 'Cardiff Met', traces back to 1865, when the School of Art first opened in the Old Free Library in Cardiff.
Since it has developed into a university, it has remained rooted in Wales, whilst providing practice-focused and professionally-oriented education to students from around the globe.
The university has gone through numerous name changes over the years, eventually becoming what we know today as Cardiff Metropolitan University - if you were a student with us, we'd love you to join us for an informal social event during Wales Week London.
