Merched y Wawr London warmly invites you to an engaging evening with Sioned Wiliam – producer, comedy commissioner and author – at the London Welsh Centre.

Originally from Barry, Sioned has shaped some of Britain’s best-known comedy programmes, working on shows such as Tonight with Jonathan Ross, Big Train and Yonderland, before serving as Commissioner for Comedy at ITV and BBC Radio 4. She also held the role of interim Chief Executive at S4C, strengthening the voice of Welsh broadcasting at a national level.

In conversation, Sioned will reflect on her career journey from Wales to the heart of the UK media industry, offering insight into commissioning, creativity and leadership. The evening will also celebrate her literary work, including 60 Rhywbeth, Y Gwyliau, Cicio’r Bar, Chwynnu and Dal i Fynd.

Merched y Wawr is a patriotic organisation that promotes the Welsh language, culture and community. With over 280 branches and clubs, it offers women of all ages the opportunity to socialise, promote Welshness locally and make a positive contribution through the medium of Welsh.

All are welcome to attend this special event. For further information, please visit the website or contact the organisers.
