As part of Wales Week London, San Halen brings Cawl â Chân — an evening of food and song — to Pulse & Pickle CIC in Walthamstow.
Hosted as part of the “Acts of Food and Care” communal dinner series, this shared-table experience celebrates Welsh flavour, harmony and togetherness. Guests will enjoy a fully vegan menu inspired by Welsh culinary traditions, including earthy Welsh cawl, creamy Welsh onion cake served with vegan Welsh rarebit, and a fruity Welsh cake dessert. Alongside the meal, San Halen will perform close-harmony renditions of Welsh, English and Spanish folk songs, alongside reimagined 60s pop classics — creating a warm, intimate atmosphere rooted in storytelling and song.
Tickets are offered on a solidarity sliding scale (£15–£30+) to ensure accessibility and collective participation, with proceeds supporting fair wages for artists, local growers and the community venue.
